Our ground team will wake you around 10:30 with a hot drink and the draw of your meal before we push for the summit. Over dinner, the lead guides will provide a briefing, giving the summiteers a final kit check, advice on the weather and ensuring all the tips we've discussed for this moment have been taken on board.
With our head torches on, our kit and water all ready and our warm clothes on, we set off at midnight, traversing the mountain towards Stella point. We take this final section very slowly to ensure the best chance of reaching the summit.
The dark night is often broken by the sound of song from our incredible ground team, providing you welcome distraction, support and cheer as we make our way to the top.
We reach Stella Point around 7am, hitting the crater rim, where we aim to be met with the most incredible sunrise! Here we take a rest, have a hit of ginger tea that our porters have carried up for us and feel the rush of knowing no more steep ascents are ahead, only the short walk to the very highest point - Uhuru peak.
We take the slow traverse across to the summit, a 45 minute walk. The sign appears from around the corner, giving you that added incentive and drive to make it to the roof of Africa.
Celebrations and emotions will spill over at the incredible your and your fellow summiteer's achievement. We're now at 5,895m. Take photos, videos and unfurl the banners to record something incredible.
We then take the 2 hour descent to Kosovo camp via the trail to the left of the route up, scree and lose stone require careful negotiation, walking poles at this stage come into their own as great support for your descent.
We take a short break at Kosovo for lunch and s short rest before we trek triumphant to Mweka camp for sunset and dinner.
This is your final night on the magical Kilimanjaro, fresh in the knowledge of your amazing achievement. The final evening meal on the mountain is full of story, laughter, awe and quiet reflection. Rest comes very easily on this final night!
